Red is a powerful colour, it defines space and always makes a clear statement.

It has a huge political and religious history.

Don’t Cry Over Spilt Milk

Acrylic on pine board (framed), 14” x 14” $500

I am primarily a colourist, and abstractionist which is why the theme of a show called “red" was so appealing.

I moved from Ottawa to Perth six years ago, peace, quiet, and solitude.  I have a wonderful studio filled with light And a charming new community.

This painting is part of a group of paintings with vessel as the main metaphor. The bowl speaks to containment or attempts there of. Bowls/vessels  are  spiritual ,religious ,feminine and inclusive.

I have always used acrylic as it suits my temperament, impatience. It allows me to change my mind. My work is always driven by ideas and curiosities.
