Julie Green

“AS AN ARTIST, I AM ALWAYS TAKING CHANCES. THE MOMENT I STOP EXPLORING IS THE MOMENT I STOP CREATING.”

This self-portrait explores the theme of aging, emphasizing society's tendency to overlook women in middle age. Greyscale tones reflect this invisibility, while the vibrant pop of red in the glasses symbolize our enduring power to stand out and demand recognition. Through this contrast, I advocate for the visibility and significance of women at every stage of life.
